Tesselate study workspace — privacy notice
This notice covers the study workspace, daily planner, course lessons and reference library at tesselate.ca. The site also links to separate experimental World and game features; those features are outside this notice. Contact: david@dreyerweb.com.
Google sign-in
Tesselate uses Google sign-in through Supabase to identify your account. Google provides basic account information such as your account identifier, email address, name and profile image. Tesselate uses this information to sign you in, display your account and associate your saved study data with you. This sign-in does not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files or Google Calendar. Tesselate does not receive your Google password.
Study data and files
The daily planner saves your routine, checklist completion, assignment statuses, topic confidence ratings, topic notes and personal schedule changes in Supabase under your account. Other ordinary users cannot read these private records.
The main workspace stores course organization, notes, reference metadata and uploaded files in your browser. Choosing “Save this device online” also saves private copies to Supabase and enables subsequent automatic saves while signed in. Workspace restore points and original files remain stored until removed by the site administrator; deleting an item from your current workspace does not automatically remove older restore points.
Course quizzes and code-editor drafts may save progress locally in your browser, separately from your online planner. When you use the COMP code runner, the selected program files and input are sent to the external Judge0 service for compilation and execution. Do not include passwords or other sensitive information in code-runner submissions.
Shared references and service providers
The course library includes materials deliberately made available to other users. The shared Physics solutions manual is available to signed-in users. Adding a file to your private workspace does not automatically add it to this shared library.
Supabase provides authentication, database and file storage. GitHub Pages hosts the website, and jsDelivr delivers the authentication software used by the browser. These providers receive technical information needed to serve requests, which can include IP addresses, browser information and service logs. Google processes sign-in under its own privacy policy. Authorized site administrators can access stored data to operate and support the service; private records are not end-to-end encrypted against the administrator or hosting providers.
Tesselate uses browser storage to retain sign-in sessions, preferences and local work. The study planner generates its checklist in the browser; it does not send your notes or files to an AI model to generate that checklist. D2L links open your school's website and require your own school access; the planner does not automatically synchronize with your D2L account.
Your choices
You can sign out, change your saved planner settings, and export a backup of the main workspace. Browser data can be cleared through your browser, but that does not delete online copies. Revoking Google sign-in access does not by itself erase previously saved Tesselate data.
For questions, corrections, or a request to delete your online account data and stored restore points, contact david@dreyerweb.com from the account email. The operator may need to verify ownership before acting. There is currently no self-service account-deletion control in the study workspace.
